This morning, minister Lukas will visit the Estonian-language section of the Brussels IV European School in Laeken to meet with the Estonian students, teachers and the Estonian director Marko Mattus.
During the day, Lukas will meet the Estonian ambassador to Belgium, Artur Kink, who will introduce the minister to the activities of the Estonian community in Brussels.
In the second half of the day, Lukas will participate in the closing panel of the European Education Summit, where the focus will be on the integration of Ukrainian children into education. The summit has been held since 2018, this year the focus of the event is on young people, as this year is the European Year of Youth, but it also touches on digital
learning and green education, inclusion, investment in education and the implementation of the The European Strategy for Universities.
Tomorrow, the minister will participate in the meeting of European Union research ministers. At the meeting, the Council's conclusions on research infrastructure and the European Innovation Agenda are confirmed, and recommendations on the valorization of knowledge are adopted. The political exchange of ideas will take place on the topic "Research as a tool for facilitating the policy-making of member states".
