Janno Järve is the Senior Analyst at the Estonian Centre for Applied Research (CentAR). His research interests include labour market policy and education policy targeted at improving the skills of the labour force. Before joining the research team of CentAR, he worked for three years at the Estonian Ministry of Social Affairs as Deputy Secretary General on Labour and Employment Policy. Järve has also been responsible for leading the Analysis Division at the Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, which among other areas was responsible for the development and implementation of the system for forecasting labour market demands. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Tartu, where he still gives occasional lectures on applying quantitative methods in economic analysis.
